First Corinthians is the chapter of "charity." The world "charity" is actually a translations of the Greek word agape (English: love). This is not self love (eros), nor self-satisfying love (phileo), but self-sacrificing love (agape) This love does not merly epress an emotion, but God in motion toward a world at enmity with Himself (Jam. 4:4). This is Gods deliberate love, which, by an act of His will He chooses its object. Gods love for us is not based on our attractiveness, our position, nor any benefit that we can renderit is based solely on His recognition of our great need to be salvationally loved. Further, Gods love is unconditional and eternal (1 Jn. 4:10).
This love is more, for love is an attribute of God (1 Jn. 4:7-8), a way in which He makes Himself known to us.
This love is more, for God is love personified in the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is God come in the flesh (Jn. 1:1, 14), that we might behold His glory.
This love is more, for "God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son..." (Jn. 3:16). Jesus Christ, the image of God, the God-man, and very God of very God, became sin that we might believe, and believing, have eternal life.
This love is more, for in being conformed to the image of His dear Son (Rms. 8:29), the love of God is perfected in His own until we can love our enemies, love our neighbors as ourselves, and prove our descipleship by the love we have for one another.
First Corinthians Thirteen
"Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have notChrist, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
And though I have a the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove moutains, and have not Christ I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, anthough I give my body to be burned, and have not Christ, it profiteth me nothing.
Christ suffereth long and is kind; Christ envieth not; Christ vauntieth not itself, is not puffed up.
[Christ] doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
[Christ] rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
[Christ] beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Christ never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
But when that (Word of God) which is perfect (complete) is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known."

"This is My Beloved Son..."
"And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying,
In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man theChrist, according to the house of their fathers, the Christ for an house:
And if the household be too little for theChrist, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take Christ according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the Christ.
YourChrist shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take Christ out from the sheep, or from the goats:
And ye shall keepChrist up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill Christ in the evening.
And they shall take of the blood [of theChrist], and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat Christ.
And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eatChrist.
Eat not ofChrist raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; Christs head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.
And ye shall let nothing ofChrist remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of Christ until the morning ye shall burn with fire.
And thus shall ye eatChrist; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat Christ in haste:
Christis the LORD'S Passover.
Who hath believed our report? and to whom is theChrist of the Lord revealed?
ForChrist shall grow up before God as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: Christ hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see Christ, there is no beauty that we should desire Christ.
Christis despised and rejected of men; a Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from Christ; Christ was despised, and we esteemed Christ not.
SurelyChrist hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Christ stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
ButChrist was wounded for our transgressions, Christ was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Christ; and with Christs stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid onChrist the iniquity of us all.
Christwas oppressed, and Christ was afflicted, yet Christ opened not His mouth: Christ is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so Christ openeth not His mouth.
Christwas taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare Christs generation? for Christ was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of My people was Christ stricken.
AndChrist made His grave with the wicked, and with the rich in His death; because Christ had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth.
Yet it pleased the Lord to bruiseChrist; He hath put Christ to grief: when Thou shalt make Christs soul an offering for sin, He shall see Christs seed,
He shall prolongChrists days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in Christs hand.
He shall see of the travail ofChrists soul, and shall be satisfied: by Christs knowledge shall My righteous Servant justify many; for Christ shall bear their iniquities.
Therefore will I divideChrist a portion with the great, and Christ shall divide the spoil with the strong; because Christ hath poured out His soul unto death: and Christ was numbered with the transgressors; and Christ bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
